CUSTOM PROJECTS

Have something in mind? Drop me a note. I have done all sorts of things from special furniture pieces to a chuppa for a colleagues wedding. I have a good eye for designing pieces that work with what you have. I will say that with the size of my shop (small...) I usually don't do anything much larger than a coffee table or dresser,  but if you really want a dining table, we can talk. Be advised that I am a one-man shop, so no, I can't get you something by next week! A larger piece usually takes three to four weeks to complete, and that is once I get to it on the calendar. So, start planning early!

Music Related Items

Music stands, conductor podiums, string instrument box stands, bow cases, instrument stands, and more. I have also built custom cajons for two organizations as promotional and fundraising items.

Gifts

Need something special for a gift? Ring boxes, jewelry boxes, wine presentation boxes, cutting boards, you name it.

Furniture

See something in the store you like, but not the color or size? We can start from there and give you what works better for you. Can't find anything you like for your living room? Let's see what we can design that works with your room.

Other stuff...

Saw it made of wood, liked it, and want one for yourself? Just ask! I've made things like a chuppa for a colleague's wedding, a hammock stand, specialty shelves, and many other things.

Picture
After the Seven Lakes Orchestra Parents Association bought five new McAdams metronomes for the practice rooms, they wanted to secure them. They commissioned these ash tables with attached housings (yes, they are attached and the face frame locks them in there!). Thanks Desiree O. for the commission!
Picture
Desktop music stand commissioned by the TMEA President as a gift for an outgoing Executive Board member. Cherry stand with 18" x 13" desk.
Picture
The stand and shelf fold flat.
Picture
Four tilt angles, and the base is a 'lazy susan' with a knob that locks it in place.
Picture
Mahogany Music Stand commissioned by the Dallas Baptist University Chorale as a gift for their director after their TMEA performance.
Picture
Beautiful rich mahogany color. Three height settings and five tilt settings.
Picture
In addition to the hand carved lettering on the desk, there are two panels that slide out to reveal the signatures of the group! A neat touch!
Picture
The SLO tables are 30" x 12" x 30". The metronome boxes are also all ash, and the face frame locks them in place. The box is also screwed to the table top. They are not going anywhere!
Picture
Custom Conductor's Podium for the St. Faustina Catholic Church in Fulshear, TX (West Houston south of Katy).
Picture
The podium is 40" x 40" x 6", and the railing is 36" above the base. It is ash stained walnut and cherry to match the colors of the flooring. See more pictures and details under 'Music Furniture.'
Picture
Custom order set of coffee table, end table, and two matching floor lamps. White oak tops with a stained ash base.

Wine presentation box. Cherry, with walnut lid panel and corner miter keys.
Picture
Wine presentation box. The lifting mechanism is also cherry.
Picture
Quilt rack in QS white oak. Special commission for an anniversary. Dyed and oil stained for a mission finish. The rack is about 36" wide and 30" tall with three removable bars. The relief carved squares represent the letters in their first names.
Picture
The rack is French cleat mounted. There is a slight curve to the front of the shelf. The configuration of the quilt bars was from their request. Thanks Zane T. for the commission!
Picture
Mastering lathe cabinet for Heights Vinyl in Houston. I know it looks like a turntable, but it actually most of a machine that cuts master disks. The lathe part weighs about 40 lbs, so the cabinet is sturdy! 3/4 stained birch ply. The two open shelves are for master disks.
Picture
The top is 24" square and 1.5" thick. It is free floating to allow for leveling adjustment with the corner bolts. There are recesses for bubble levels at the corners on the top.
Picture
Coffee table in place. The patterns and colors work great with the rug!
Picture
Color scheme picks up the color in the floor as well.
Picture
And the floor lamps Note that the pattern from the center rail is the same as the table bases. But why is that guy on TV...?
