Box stands

Custom box stands make great gifts! The one pictured is stained red oak with walnut corner keys. 1" padding all around and on the bottom protect the instrument and hold it secure. Shaped handles make it easy to pick up and move (not while the 'cello is in it...) - added those after the first one I built and discovered how hard it was to grab! We can customize your box with stains or hardwood choices as well as different fabrics for the padding.

Peg stands

Peg stands for wind instruments! Custom designed hardwood bases with turned pegs. More pictures to come!

Woodwind peg stands! Pegs available for flute, oboe, english horn, and clarinet. The double stand at the top is white oak, with pegs for oboe and english horn. The two darker stands are walnut, and the others are cherry. Sometimes with a beautiful grain pattern I just use it as is, like with the walnut and the cherry with the sapwood edge. That one has a beautiful straight grain pattern throughout the piece. I can also customize one for multiple instruments or your special choice of wood.

I had a request for a trombone stand (no, it isn't a Mars probe...)! Wasn't sure if I could do it, but I think it turned out okay - or at least high on the 'interesting' scale! About 36" high and the base is about 15" on a side, so it is very stable and sturdy.
Picture
The screw covers and leg slides are mahogany as well. The legs fold down so that it is somewhat portable. The turned mahogany pin secures the two parts of the base. After consulting with some trombonists I went for stable over adjustable!
Picture
The base and shaft are maple, and everything else is mahogany. The bell rest has strips of rubber gasket material attached so that the bell is not contacting the wood directly.
