I play a lot of 2nd Oboe/English Horn, and got tired of bending down to pick up and change reeds. So I built myself a reed desk that attaches to my stand with two 1/2 inch rare earth magnets. Shortly thereafter I was making them for all of the oboe players I play with. Most recently I did a run of these in a variety of wood species for the Texas Music Educators Association Convention 2020, where I had a booth in the Exhibit Hall. They were very popular!
